BREAKING: Yuga Labs Teased The Bored Ape Yacht Club's Otherside Location This Evening. Check It Out

Yuga Labs gave the community an update on the Otherside this evening and teased some in person testing later this month before the platfrom goes live.

Wednesday night was anything but boring around the swamp as Yuga Labs’ Chief Creative Officer, Michael Figge, shared a screenshotted text from Garga that told him to come to the Clubhouse.

“No more zoom, meet at clubhouse” Garga texted to Figge in screenshotted message that he shared on Twitter.

Minutes later, Figge took to Twitter again and shared a 48 second video of several Bored Apes making their way through the swamp to the clubhouse on the Otherside.

“Going to bring together a few Otherside & BAYC community members later this month here in LA. want to do some testing with a smaller group in-person, think it's needed before we open the swamp up online,” Figge tweeted along with the video. “will post a public recap as soon as it's done to keep the alpha fair.”

Following Figge’s post, Yuga Labs’ Chief Technology Officer, Mike Seavers, took to Twitter and congratulated the engineering team on their Otherside progress!

“Super proud of the massive strides the engineering team has made over the past 6 weeks,” Seavers said. “Excited to be working with such a talented crew, and for the future of Otherside.”

At this time, we do not know exactly when the Otherside will open for business, but we do know that the "persistent world" is coming this year.

“The persistent world will be coming in 2023,” Garga said in an interview with Punk6529 in October 2022. “There will be multiple experiences, many multiple experiences along the way, but the initial persistent world, where people will have full access to the initial customer experience will be in 2023.”

Tonight’s Otherside update is a developing story and the Bored Ape Gazette is working to bring you more information. Stay tuned for updates!
