A 40×40 monochrome bitmap. 1,600 pixels, and endless possibilities! Normies by Serc is shaping up to be anything but ordinary as some of Web3’s biggest artists put digital brush to canvas, transforming typical Normies into something extraordi-Normie!
Burn by burn and pixel by pixel, over the past few days Good Vibes Club artist Chris Guyot, Chimpers co-founder Timpers, Art Blocks founder SnowFro, and A.C.K. have all made their mark on the Normies project, reimagining one of the pixelated people in their own unique style.
“This week, we will see more Legendary canvases by great artists of web3 space, pioneer projects who has inspired me to create Normies collection,” Serc tweeted. “We are just getting started; to realize what we can do in an open canvas, how we expand our roots by community collaborations, what marks we can leave on the infinite canvas of @ethereum blockchain. We welcome everyone who is passionate about building, creating things together. off-white, off-black, off-perfect Normies are like us. Let's build together.”
As the Gazette previously reported, Normies launched last month with a unique burn and customize mechanic that allows holders to change pixels on one Normie by burning another, gradually reducing the collection’s total supply.
This feature has quickly become a favorite for artists and traders alike, allowing collectors to express themselves onchain while also holding assets that grow scarcer over time.

As of tonight, the Normies supply has dropped to 8,698, meaning 1,302 pixelated people have already been burned.

The Gazette will continue to follow the Normies project and will let you know which artists put their spin on these 40×40 monochrome bitmaps next. Stay tuned for updates!
