BUILDING IN PUBLIC: Yuga Labs Gave Voyagers An Update On The Legends Of The Mara Shattered Battles

Voyagers and their Oda will have to wait another week to fight the Shattered the way Yuga Labs intended after the company's attempts to fix this part of the Legends of The Mara game failed yesterday.

After Yuga Labs promised to be more transparent with the community and keep them up to date on the Shattered’s status, Yuga Labs’ Chief Gaming Officer, Spencer Tucker, gave the community an update on yesterday’s attempts to fix the game and said that Yuga Labs will need a bit more time to get it right.

“Update on LOTM Beta, we are hard at work addressing the remaining issues on the game,” Tucker tweeted. “Shattered needs a little bit more regression testing before we are fully confident in the rollout. As such we will be pushing the update to Wed of next week. We are very confident in that date and to show our appreciation and apologies for the issues/delay, we will be sending a 2K myst (LOTM’s in game currency) award per wallet post-launch on Wed. We will also be extending the master chest timers by 10 days.”

Following Tucker’s tweet, Yuga Labs’ Chief Technology Officer, Mike Seavers, publicly explained the issue that Yuga Labs is facing with the Shattered and gave the community an idea of how he and the team are trying to fix it.

“The specific technical issues we ran into were load-related due to the high demand we had for LOTM,” Seavers said. “We’re hard at work with our partner running extensive load test scenarios to avoid future issues. We’re deeply sorry for the delay.”

While Voyagers were disappointed by the delay and technical issues, everyone was happy to see Yuga Labs publically addressing the issues!

“You love to see it,” BAYC member Tenacious tweeted after Tucker’s update.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs' Legend of The Mara game launched on September 26th, and Voyagers got their first chance to set up camp on Otherside, nest their Mara Vessels, and begin playing the game.

Since the game’s launch, players have been able to nest their Vessels and farm for resources on their Otherdeeds, but they have not had the opportunity to fight the Shattered the way Yuga Labs intended with any consistency.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Yuga Labs’ Legends of The Mara and will let you know when Voyagers can fight the Shattered. Stay tuned for updates!
