BYE BYE BELFORT: ApeChain’s Banana Bill Investment Lead Steps Down And Teases A Project Of His Own

After seven months of monkey business in the ApeChain ecosystem, Banana Bill’s Investment Lead Belfort is stepping down and may be activating founder mode soon!

It was a bittersweet day around the ApeChain ecosystem on Friday as longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member Belfort announced that it would be his last day on the Banana Bill team.

“Today will be my last day as the investment lead for apechain / banana bill,” he tweeted. “It's been an incredible 7 months working with @HeadofApe, @Waabam_eth, @wonk1m, @CapetainTrippy and everyone else who played a part in ApeChain's early success. I'm super proud of all the teams we invested in and partnered with, many of which have not launched or even begun marketing yet. There's still so much more to come for ApeChain & ApeCoin and I have full confidence that this leadership team and revised structure will bring the ecosystem to new heights.”

 

 

 

After Belfort’s tweet, Apes and $Apes filled the comment section with well wishes and thanks for all the work he’s done to help get ApeChain up and running.

 

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Belfort began working with ApeChain and the Banana Bill team back in November 2024, with the goal of “APECELERATING” ApeChain!

 

 

 

Following his announcement on Friday, the Gazette reached out to Belfort for comment on any projects or dApps he’s especially excited to see launch on ApeChain, but did not immediately hear back.

 

While we wait to see what’s next on the ApeChain front, Belfort teased that he’ll continue advising his favorite projects and might be building something himself.

 

“As far as what's next for me, I'll likely take on 1-2 advisor/consultant roles with some of my favorite founders, and then I think it's time I go founder mode myself,” he teased. More on that soon.”
