CHECK IT OUT: There's A Massive Meebits Ad In New York City. Find Out Where It Is Here:

As Yuga Labs announced upcoming utility for the Meebits NFT project yesterday, this Bored Ape Yacht Club member stumbled across a Massive Meebit Ad in New York City.

“Spotted in SoHo, Manhattan @MeebitsNFTs,” BAYC member NFTSupply.eth tweeted last night.

NFTSupply told the Bored Ape Gazette that the massive billboard is located at Thompson St. and Watts St. The massive billboard features over 20 Meebits scattered all around the project’s URL.

After finding the billboard, NFTSupply told the Bored ape Gazette that the seeing the Meebit ad was completely by accident. “As fate would have it, I was waiting to cross the street, scrolling through twitter, saw the Meebit announcement, the light turned green, I looked up, and sure enough there was the ad.”

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs teased upcoming utility for Meebits and said that the company will be taking a royalty on sales going forward in a six-part Twitter thread.

“Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work — lurking, discussing, experimenting, building, mumbling about voxels in our sleep," Yuga Labs tweeted. “We’ve also put together an incredible team for the Meebs, including some brilliant creative thinkers and some die-hard Meebits community members.”

To fund Yuga Labs future plans for the Meebit project, the company announced that it will be receiving a 5% royalty on Meebit secondary sales going forward.

“So, what are we building? While we can’t get into specifics (we like surprises),” Yuga Labs tweeted. “Our vision for Meebits centers around embracing the currents already core to the community – play, DIY experimentation, tech minimalism, and interoperability – and dialing them way up.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Meebits project and will let you know when more information becomes available.
