"CLAIM $ME": Magic Eden's Token Launched Today! Here's What You Need To Know!

Magic is in the air around the swamp and the broader Web3 world today as Non-Fungible Token marketplace Magic Eden launches its highly anticipated $ME coin with an airdrop for NFT traders!

On Tuesday, the Magic Eden Foundation announced the Token Generation Event for $ME and invited Apes, Pudgys, Puppets, Bodoggos and more to claim their rewards for years of trading!

“$ME TGE is LIVE! Claim & stake your $ME today,” the foundation tweeted along with a an all new Emmy video. “The only way to claim your $ME tokens is to load your Magic Eden mobile app and complete claim. Make sure you have SOL in your wallet to claim. Updating your app may help. All unclaimed $ME will go to $ME stakers.”

 

 

Magic Eden and the ME Foundation have big plans for $ME, aiming to establish it as the governance token powering Magic Eden’s cross-chain dApp ecosystem.

“People should be able to trade fungibles & NFTs on any major chain any time, all in 1 place,” the MEFndn tweeted on August 22nd. “First, $ME will be adopted by @MagicEden, the largest BTC dApp, NFT platform, and Runes DEX… Users are xchain & mobile. Most dApps are not. dApps onboard users. Infra alone does not. The future of on-chain will be limitless and seamless for everyone.”

 

 

Since its launch this morning, $ME has already made waves in the crypto space. It’s been listed on major exchanges like Coinbase and Crypto.com, surged to a $5 billion market cap, and reached a price of $5 per coin.

Additionally, Magic Eden rolled out its new “Questing” feature, allowing users to complete tasks and earn $ME tokens.
