Yuga Labs CEO Garga will be hosting an Otherside town hall live from the metaverse later this week, and every Yuga Labs PFP collection holder and Voyager is invited to ape in.
As Voyagers celebrated the two-year anniversary of the Otherside mint on Tuesday, Yuga Labs took to Twitter and announced that the company will be hosting a town hall event from Otherside this Thursday!
“Happy Anniversary, Voyagers. No more Discord. Let’s meet in Otherside,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account. “Otherside Town Hall: Date: May 2, 2024 Time: 6 PM ET Voyagers, Kodas, BAYC, MAYC, Meebits, Grailed, & Moonbirds, (HV-MTLs) can all attend. An Otherside account will be required to join the event. Register at https://launch.otherside.xyz.”
“Trying out a new format for town halls - doing it in Otherside,” Garga tweeted following today’s announcement. “Short notice but come hang Thursday evening ET.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Garga first revealed during last week’s Bored Meeting that Apes, Voyagers, and the entire Yugaverse will be meeting at the clubhouse for an Otherside town hall.
“I want to have a townhall next week to get into everything Otherside." Garga said at the time. “I’m actually trying to do that in Otherside with voice and text chats set up properly. There’s no point in having a town hall about the metaverse outside the metaverse. So stay tuned.”
During last week's Bored Meeting, Garga did not give Apes much information about what would be discussed during the townhall, but he did say that the metaverse building company Improbable still had a role to play in Otherside's creation.
Further, Garga and Improbable's CEO and Founder, Herman Narula, went back and forth with one another about Otherside for the first time in a while over the weekend, where they discussed getting more builders building in the metaverse.
"First step was to get apes creating with their 3D models... Next step is to get them building in the metaverse," Garga tweeted.
