DooKey Dash Toad Mode Ends Tomorrow. Here's What You Need To Know:
The Bored Ape Yacht Club’s DooKey Dash Toad Mode is in its final stretch as the sewers underneath the club are set to close tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 P.M.EST.
Over the last week, 17,523 Dashers have aped into the gutter and went “Toad Mode” over 799,000 times in an effort to win one of the 2,500 companion traits up for grabs!
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Toad Mode is like the original DooKey Dash game mode expect for a brief period during the run when things get trippy. During this time, all the in-game obstacles will disappear, and Dashers will be tasked with collecting as many toads as they can.
“From the 0:30 mark to the 1:05 mark during your run, you’ll have a chance to pick up the toads that appear,” Yuga Labs wrote. “When Toad Mode ends at 1:05, it’s back to Dookey Dash business as usual.”
In the a Toad Mode game, Sewer Pass holders will get two scores. One score will be based on the number of toads Dashers collect during toad mode; this is called your toad points score. The other score will be based on the length of the Dashers run; like the first DooKey Dash game.
“The top 500 score runs from Toad Mode will receive a companion trait to their Power Source,” Yuga Labs wrote. “2000 additional companion traits will be awarded to the 2,000 players who collected the most Toad Points, without duplicating anyone who were top 500 overall. Everyone has a chance. It’s not just about going far, it’s also about licki– we mean, picking up as many toads as you can.”
At the time of this article’s publication, the cutoff score to be in the top 500 Toad Mode runs and the top 2,000 Toad point totals is 481,452 points and 7,633 Toad Points respectively , according to Dookeystats.com
While we do not know much about the 2,500 companion traits that Toad Mode winners will receive, we do know that they’re drawn to the power sources that Dashers won during the first DooKey Dash skill based mint earlier this month.
“Whatever it is, whatever they are, they are drawn to the Power Source,” the BAYC tweeted on February 22nd.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the DooKey Dash Toad Mode. Stay tuned for updates!
