ELECTION 2024: Leila Is Running For ApeCoin DAO Special Council.

After a 15-year corporate career where she marketed companies and built bridges between communities and clients, ApeCoin DAO Contributor Leila has thrown her hat into the ring and is running for a spot on the Special Council, where she hopes to increase brand awareness and make onboarding easier.

Things are anything but boring in the $Ape ecosystem this week as ApeCoin DAO Contributors head to the polls to cast their coins and elect two Special Council members, two Governance Working Group Stewards, two Web3 Development Working Group Stewards, a Marketing and Communications Working Group Steward, and a Metaverse Working Group Steward to $Ape office!

As $Apes start to vote, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to every candidate from every race and asked them for their final thoughts on the Banana Bill, what they hope to accomplish, and for their thoughts on making ApeCoin fun.

1. In a sentence or two why should $Ape holders vote for you?

“I bring a fresh perspective to the DAO and strongly believe it needs a market-making strategist like myself to move forward. I take pride in being one of the women in tech and Web3. As a role model for young women in the industry, I would love to connect the expanding gaming women's community to the DAO, among others from my networks. To conclude, I am a perfectly fitted advisor, advocate, ambassador, and council.”

2. What is the biggest issue facing the DAO and how do you plan to address it?

“The participation rate could be much higher, and there are currently no initiatives to encourage voting actively. The language barrier continues to be a significant issue. Additionally, there is a considerable gap between the DAO and many Apecoin holders across the different exchanges, platforms, and communities. My goal is to offer more engaging onboarding tools and communication strategies tailored to different personas and channels supported by AI-powered processes."

3. What is one tangible thing that you want to accomplish if elected? How will it impact the DAO?

“Increased brand awareness, a well-structured, user-friendly multilingual platform provided all the information needed to be onboarded, and the robust infrastructure ensured efficient proposal processing. Bringing back attention to the Apecoin attention economy, spot the coin in the top 10 and make the DAO ready to scale.”

4. What are your thoughts on the Banana Bill? How will you ensure it’s a success if you’re elected?

“The Banana Bill initiative is crucial for the project to remain competitive in the market. Its main goal is to attract and involve new developers, thereby increasing the project's adoption rate and visibility. I can make the project appealing to various communities, including the Web2 gaming space, where I have expertise. This includes excitingly presenting the project and using my networks to connect with receptive audiences.”

5. How do you plan to make ApeCoin fun?

“From the top of my mind: Build fun games that will use ApeCoin as their currency. Encourage participation by incorporating gamified elements into governance activities, such as challenges, quests, or missions. Advocate for even more enjoyable community-focused events worldwide to strengthen the bonds between ApeCoin holders."

6. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

“Vote with your heart and mind for the new girl on the block!”

The window to vote in the second and final round of the ApeCoin DAO’s summer election season is currently open and $Apes have until Wednesday, June 19th, at 9 P.M. EST to cast their coins.
