ELECTION SEASON: $Ape holders Can Now Nominate Themselves For The Discourse Facilitator Election

Election season is underway at the ApeCoin DAO as the window for $Ape holders to nominate themselves for the Discourse Facilitator positions opened this morning.

Two days after the ApeCoin DAO approved of the creation of a community led Discourse team, the DAO added a “Discourse Facilitator Elections” category to its website and $Ape holders can now throw their hat in the ring and run for these positions.

The new Discourse Facilitator team, which will be made up of three members, will be responsible for “overseeing the proposal process, moderating discussions, enforcing rules, and promoting positive community engagement based on DAO-approved guidelines,” according to Ape Improvement Proposal-240. Each Discourse team member will earn $8,000 USD per month for three months.

The first member of the new Discourse Facilitator team will be Bored Ape Yacht Club member and ApeCoin DAO Contributor Lost AKA TheHodlrCollective. The two other Discourse Facilitator team members will be elected by the community.

$Ape holders have until May 5th to nominate themselves. Take a look at the full election timeline below:
