EMBRACE THE PENGUIN: OpenSea’s Adam Hollander Suits Up As Pengu After A Shitpost From PP McGhee!

I am my Penguin and my Penguin is me took on a whole new meaning for OpenSea Chief Marketing Officer Adam Hollander after he embraced the penguin like only a select few ever have, all thanks to a shitpost from Pudgy Penguins’ PP McGhee!

 

On Tuesday, the huddle headed down south for Consensus 2026, meeting up in Miami for a Deep Dive party in partnership with the top NFT marketplace!

 

 

The event had it all, from a Hall of Penguin wall featuring fat flightless frens and a Pudgy Penguins crane game to even OpenSea’s own Adam Hollander making a surprise appearance as Pax Pengu!

 

 

“When Clark Kent takes off his glasses he becomes Superman. When @HollanderAdam takes off his Pokémon crocs, he becomes Pengu,” OpenSea tweeted.

 

 

“I had never been a mascot before,” Hollander told the Gazette, “It’s actually pretty hot in there - but worth it. Would recommend. It was an amazing event. kudos to Adam Ilenich and PP for crushing it as always.”

 

 

 

Hollander went on to say that he knew he had to embrace the penguin after PP McGhee tweeted the idea a day before the event.

 

On the timeline, Penguins and the OpenSea team applauded Hollander for going all out for the culture.

 

“Find yourself a CMO who embraces the culture the way @HollanderAdam does,” OpenSea;’s Steve Bark wrote.  “Running a fast-moving, multi-disciplinary marketing department by day. Rocking the Pengu costume by night. so so good lol”

 

All in all, it was another big night for the Pudgy Penguins and OpenSea as the two teams continued bringing the Web3 community together IRL.
