Extraordi-Normie times call for extraordi-Normie measures!

The market is down, the CLARITY Act failed to pass, and the Fed just announced its first rate hike in years. So, what does avid NFT collector Adam Weitsman do? What he usually does, of course: sweep Normies, experiment onchain, and help make great art!

“Added an additional 50  @normiesART today so would be ready with pixel power when needed to do some more legendary artist collabs with this amazing collection,” Weitsman tweeted on Wednesday. “Have an epic one in the works . Stay tuned ……. PS thank you  @serc1n for all you do”

As the Gazette previously reported, Normies launched in mid-February 2026 as a collection of 10,000 onchain generative pixelated faces. What makes the project stand out is its unique burn and customize mechanic, which allows holders to modify one Normie by burning another, gradually reducing the collection’s total supply.

That mechanic really got the wheels turning in Weitsman’s mind. Since March, he has burned roughly 350 Normies to create 1/1 works with A.C.K., Jack Butcher, Beeple, and CryptoPunks and Meebits creators Matt Hall and John Watkinson, using the collaborations to highlight the project, experiment with the collection, and have some fun along the way!

After last night’s sweep, Serc took to the timeline and thanked Weitsman for everything he has done for the project!

“Forever grateful for your support and friendship Adam,” he tweeted. “Excited for the new legendary canvas”

The Gazette will continue to follow Weitsman and will let you know when, and with whom, he works next to turn these black and white pixels into something extraordi-Normie. Stay tuned for updates!
