MUD MASTER: BAYC Member TBoe Completes The First Ever Mudwater Master Set!

Just one week after Yuga Labs stealth launched Mudwater at ApeFest 2026, longtime BAYC member and lifelong collector TBoe was sitting at home in front of his laptop this afternoon, preparing to make history by spending 30 SOL, or roughly $3,000 USD, on a legendary foil variant of card #84, dubbed “The Box,” to complete the first Mudwater master set!

“Just completed the first Mudwater Master Set by picking up this foil of the legendary card The Box,” he tweeted. “thanks  @_TheSubie_ for the deal”

But before TBoe was spending thousands of dollars on the final card he needed to complete his collection, he was just another Bored Ape who found out about Mudwater at ApeFest, got a free box at Beeple Studios, and began ripping his 36 onchain packs after he got home from Charelston!

 

“When I ripped my promo packs I was instantly hooked and started ripping more,” he said. “When I saw I was close to the base set and went after it on secondary, then once I got it I figured I should go after the foils as well. As a collector I'm a full set guy, and the chance to be on chain as the owner of the first Master Set was exciting.”

Over the next few days, TBoe ripped another 40 packs, with his best pull being a Founder card featuring Curtis. But collecting all 120 artworks in both their common and foil variations was going to take more than luck!

So, TBoe turned to the secondary market, putting some of his profits from the Solana memecoin days toward collecting them all!

“I did ok in the first Solana meme season and figured this was a good chance to build a collection I'm proud of,” he said. “It feels great to make history on chain with the first master set… The community excitement around Mudwater makes me think this is just the beginning for BAYC in the TCG space.”

 

Looking ahead, TBoe told the Gazette that he’s been playing Mudwater against the computer and is starting to get the hang of the game and that he’s going to Open his Mudwater Box soon!

“I haven't ripped any physical pack yet but when Adam announced his ($100,000 USD) bounty I ordered some penny sleeves and top loaders and am going to rip the packs I got at ApeFest soon.”
