From Seoul to the clubhouse rafters and one lucky Ape's personal collection!

Things were anything but boring for Bored Ape Yacht Club member Jaye this week after he learned that he had won one of just two BAYC x STONROK burgee flags created as part of the club's recent Anchor drop with South Korean artist Kim Seock, AKA STONROK!

WON!!!,” Jaye tweeted. “Incredibly stoked and grateful to have just received the email that I'm adding one of only two BAYC x Stonrok burgee flags to my collection! What a f*@king honor!! Thank you  @BoredApeYCand the legend Stonrok for your amazing art.”

As the Gazette previously reported, these burgee flags are special pieces from each of the club's Anchor apparel drops. Each Flag design is an of 2 collectible with one flag going to the BAYC and to a lucky Ape!

“On the water, a burgee isn't decoration. It's an identity,” the BAYC explained. “It tells people who you are. Your club. Your crew. Your colors flying from the stern so everyone knows who's coming through. We wanted this one to carry that same meaning. Not just a logo on fabric, but something you'd actually raise because it stands for something.”

With that in mind, Jaye couldn't be more excited to add this rare piece of club memorabilia to his growing collection.

“This flag will sit proudly alongside my favorite pieces including BAYC basketball, Curtis Super Plastic, BAPE x BAYC beer and ApeFest posters,” Jaye told the Gazette. “ If it doesn't come framed that might need to be the next thing I do.

The Gazette will continue to follow all things Anchor and let you know when the club releases another drop and burgee flag with an artist. Stay tuned for updates!
