FOR THE KIDS: Yuga Labs And BAYC Member Roc Sol Are Inspiring The Next Generation Of Digital Artists!

The future of art is on-chain and anything but boring, as Bored Ape Yacht Club member and artist Roc Sol kicked off his digital art program at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Club in Miami, Florida, as part of Yuga Labs’ broader arts and education initiative.

On Wednesday, longtime BAYC member Roc Sol gave the Web3 world an update on his and Yuga Labs’ work to inspire the next generation of digital artists in the Magic City.

“Yesterday I had the honor of teaching my first class at Big Brothers Big Sisters as part of the @yugalabs arts and education initiative,” he tweeted along with photos and a video from the class. “I got to teach them how to create their own custom shoes and how to add attributes to make them their own. I'm excited to see what they'll create next with all the new skills they are learning. Very proud of the progress they made this class, excited to continue next week. Much love y'all!”

“Huge huge shout out to Roc Sol for being such an awesome part of our Big Borthers Big Sisters initiative,” Yuga Labs CEO Garga tweeted.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs announced that it has made a one-million-dollar commitment to support arts and education initiatives at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami last month.

“The partnership will host workshops with guest artists to encourage diverse perspectives and provide their technology lab with iPads & software for students to explore creativity through digital art,” tweeted at the time. “We are honored to give back to the city where BAYC was born and pave the way for a better web3.”

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Roc Sol and Yuga Labs’ philanthropic work. Stay tuned for updates!
