Beeple's Everyday art imitates life, and beginning tomorrow, Normie #0 will imitate Beeple's Everydays every day.

On Monday, HV-MTL owner and avid NFT collector Adam Weitsman announced that Beeple's iconic Everydays are getting the Normie treatment. Beginning tomorrow, Normie #0 will automatically transform each day into a pixel art recreation of Beeple's latest Everyday as part of the Weitsman Art Lab initiative.
“I’m very happy to announce that my next EPIC @Normiesart collaboration is with the ABSOLUTE LEGEND @Beeple,” he tweeted. “Starting tomorrow, and each day forward, Normie #0 will automatically take on the likeness of Beeple’s Everydays! The technical innovation that Normies have brought to the table, along with the AMAZING artwork that Beeple gives us each day, make for an absolute masterpiece! It’s going to be really crazy to see the Normies interpretation of Beeple’s artwork, and I want to personally thank both @beeple and @serc1n for making this monumental moment possible!!!”
For nearly two decades, Beeple has documented the internet one artwork at a time. From politics and pop culture to crypto and memes, his famous Everydays have captured some of the internet's most abnormal moments, and he can't wait to see his future works get Normie'd.
“super pumped to have my everydays be a part of this collection,” he tweeted after the announcement. “When i first talked with serc and learned more about the NormieCinematicUniverse (NCU) the thing that stuck with me was the fact that these could continue to evolve over time... I believe we've barely scratched with what can be done with dynamic NFTs and very honored to be part of this experiment!! massive thanks to @AdamWeitsman and @serc1n for making it happen!!!! <3.”
As the Gazette previously reported, Normies launched in mid-February as a collection of 10,000 onchain generative pixelated faces. What makes the project stand out is its unique burn and customize mechanic, which allows holders to modify one Normie by burning another, gradually reducing the collection's total supply.
In March, Weitsman used this mechanic to burn 50 Normies to create a 1/1 piece dubbed “Skelemoon” in collaboration with artist A.C.K.
Since then, Weitsman has committed his entire collection of more than 350 Normies to a broader initiative to create a series of commissioned works with artists, dubbed Weitsman Art Lab, because, in his view, it's "more epic and fun" that way.
So far, Weitsman has worked with A.C.K., Jack Butcher, and Beeple, and he plans to add one more artist to the initiative soon.
The Gazette will continue to follow all things Normies and will let you know when Normie #0 takes the shape of Beeple's Everyday tomorrow. Stay tuned for updates!
