UP, UP, AND WADDLE!: Pudgy Penguins Is Set To Debut Its First Comic Book Series, The Adventures Of Pax Pengu & Polly, Later This Month!

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Pax Pengu and Polly!

Over the weekend, Pudgy Penguins announced that the world's favorite, and arguably cutest, penguin power couple is getting ready to waddle off the blockchain and onto the pages of its very own comic book series, The Adventures of Pax Pengu & Polly.

 

Written by Vivian Lin, illustrated by Afiq Salam, and created under the direction of Pudgy Penguins Chief Creative Officer Peter Lobanov, the three-part series follows Pax and Polly as they journey to their home world, The Berg, face betrayal, and begin a new adventure. Along the way, the story will tie together years of Pudgy Penguins lore from its collectibles, GIFs, and the Pudgy World experience as the brand continues to proliferate the huddle.

“Every great entertainment franchise begins with characters and stories people connect with and love,” says Lobanov. “Pax Pengu and Polly have become beloved characters across our community. These comic books allow fans to finally discover who they are, how they met and the adventures that shaped ‘The Berg.’ We believe this is only the beginning of a storytelling journey that fans of every generation will continue to follow for decades to come.” 

 

Pudgy Penguins is slated to officially release the comic book series later this month at San Diego Comic-Con. According to the press release, the brand will also release 100 limited edition hardcover copies of The Adventures of Pax Pengu & Polly: The Berg Omnibus.
