FROM DARKNESS TO DILEMMA: Meebits X Clutch Markets’ NightShades Knights Hit A $51 Million Market Cap Before Holders Faced The Ultimate Question: When Do They Sell?

The darkness giveth and the darkness taketh away. But that’s just the beginning!

On Wednesday, the second ever Darkness descended on Robinhood Chain, sucking liquidity from three of NightShades’ factions, Ghosts, Watchers, and Zombies, and giving it all to the Knights. The shift sent the Knights’ token soaring to a market cap of $51 million!

As the Gazette previously reported, NightShades is built around this recurring daily Darkness event, where onchain randomness determines whether the Knights, Ghosts, Watchers, or Zombies are rewarded or damaged, shifting liquidity between the four tokens and dramatically reshaping their charts each day.

But buying into the right faction before the Night destroys some and rewards others is only the first part of this onchain survival game, something many Knights learned when Dawn arrived this morning.

Once trading resumed across NightShades’ four faction tokens, Knights around the world were sitting on massive paper gains but facing limited exit liquidity and an anti-snipe tax that began at 99% and decreased every minute.

That left holders in something of a prisoner’s dilemma with their fellow Knights as everyone tried to decide the same thing: when do you sell?

Within seconds, the chart began dumping as players raced for the available liquidity, with one anonymous user turning an $11 Knights token purchase into $2,987 even after paying the 99% tax! Well played anon!

Whether the Darkness benefited or smote you this morning, fear not. No token is ever truly dead in NightShades. All it takes is a little luck for one of yesterday’s losers to receive a massive influx of liquidity the following night, something 0xSimpleFarmer believes makes NightShades a fairer version of the memecoin game.

“I think people like the idea of a fair game,” 0xSimpleFarmer said. “I think people genuinely believe when buying a lot of these memecoins that they are investing, but its kind of a game. So this is just making this game fair… It will be interesting to see how people react. don’t think a lot of people know about this yet. I hope everyone will be a resource to others and help them understand so they can play in a fair and fun way.”

Tonight, all four faction tokens have settled around the $159,000 market cap range, and tomorrow’s Darkness is already set to bring at least $121,000, or 50.288 ETH, in buying power to one or two of their charts, setting the stage for more high highs, low lows, and spooky speculation.

To find out more about the game or place your bets on which factions will suffer or benefit from tomorrow morning’s 10 A.M. ET Darkness, visit the Meebits NightShades website here: https://nightshades.meebco.com/

The Gazette will continue to follow the Darkness and will let you know how players’ choices and strategies change night over night. Stay tuned for updates!
