FROM MEMES TO MARKETS: Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev Talks Robinhood Chain, Tokenized Stocks, And The “Unique Products” Developers Are Building On The Iced Coffee Hour With Graham Stephan!

From $CashCat to StonkBrokers, Robinhood Chain has been the talk of the timeline since its launch last month, and the brokerage is taking note!

Over the weekend, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev joined finance podcaster Graham Stephan on The Iced Coffee Hour, where he shared a bit about his company’s new blockchain featuring tokenized stocks and everything that’s happening there.

“Robinhood chain is this developer platform with financial primitives like high yields and stock tokens and I think the combination of those two is going to lead to a lot of interesting things,” he said. “Not to mention, it was built for ai agents too. A lot of people have been rolling out APIs.

 

While Tenev did not name any projects or get into the specifics of everything happening on Robinhood Chain, he made it clear that developers are already using the network’s tokenized stocks in ways that Robinhood itself did not anticipate.

During the interview, he highlighted one piece of tech on Robinhood Chain that should sound familiar to anyone who has been clocking in with StonkBrokers or holding Index.

“Developers created unique pools and protocols we didn’t even think would exist,” Tenev said, “For example, if you hold a memecoin, you get stock tokens airdropped to you. They’ve connected memecoins, core cryptos, and stock tokens and composed them into unique products we wouldn’t have thought to make ourselves.”

 

At the time of this article’s publication, Robinhood Chain has surpassed $1 billion in total value locked.

Throughout the interview, Tenev also reiterated his bullish outlook on crypto, his belief that Robinhood Chain should be a place where the best ideas win, and his commitment to getting more people invested in the future!
