Tomorrow, the Meebits will kick off their highly anticipated summer soccer event with a livestream, bringing the fun of the World Cup to Web3.

As the Gazette previously reported, the Meebits have been looking to capitalize on the excitement surrounding this year's World Cup across the Americas by dropping all sorts of soccer themed collectibles.

Back in February, the Meebits released its first set soccer playing voxel avatars in collaboration with OpenSea and Yuga Labs.

The collection featured Otherside ready avatars and the opportunity to redeem physical collectibles, combining the fun of blind boxes with the utility of NFTs.

 

 

Since then, the Meebits have also released a collection of fútbol jerseys and trading cards featuring soccer playing voxels.
