From crypto to toy aisles, Pudgy Penguins are officially Plushie Penguins as the brand's mascots have waddled their way into more than 1,800 Target stores across the country!
Pax, Pengu, and Polly are now rubbing shoulders with household names like Mickey Mouse and Bluey as millions of shoppers are about to discover the Huddle while strolling through Target!
“Today, for the first time, Pengu has been officially introduced to millions of new people in retail,” Pudgy Penguins tweeted. “We’re proud to announce that Pengu is now available on all @Target shelves across the USA with the launch of our new plushie line.”
Pax and Polly each cost $10.99 and can be found among plush toys from some of the biggest brands in the world, proving these fat, flightless birds have broken out of not only the crypto bubble, but the internet bubble as well, and are becoming a mainstream IP, according to the team.
“A brand that started on the internet, now sitting in the toy aisle of one of the biggest retailers in the world, right next to household names,” Pudgy Penguins Marketing Lead SHL tweeted. “Millions of people are going to see Pudgy Penguins more than ever before. The mission was always to go beyond the internet, and the best part is, we're just getting started.”
Today's toy aisle takeover comes just weeks after the brand commandeered shelf space in Target's trading card aisle through Vibes TCG's nationwide rollout, which put Pax in packs across the country.
“This is a pivotal step in our mission to build a global consumer brand that extends far beyond the internet,” Pudgy Penguins said.
Tonight, the Pudgy Penguins community, collectors, and children are huddling up and heading to a Target near them to add Pax and Polly to their collections.
