FROM THE BERG TO THE LAKE HOUSE: Pudgy Penguin Holder Moose Waddles Up The Bid On Adam Weitsman’s Make-A-Wish Auction!

From the Berg to the lake house, one of Web3’s most famous Pudgy Penguins has been waddling up the bid on HV-MTL owner and NFT collector Adam Weitsman’s Make-A-Wish silent auction experience.
Last week, Weitsman put himself, and his lake house , on the auction block as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s “Wish It Forward” 40th Anniversary Gala, calling on the NFT community to help make children’s dreams come true.
“Please bid and help me support my all time favorite charity Make A Wish,” Weitsman tweeted. “Crash at my lake house for the weekend this Summer in the beautiful village of Skaneateles NY, Eat great VIP dinners at my restaurants in town, and have epic times with me while all your donated funds go to these amazing kids wishes ! I’m a hermit and don’t usually have many people over but for this charity I will gratefully love you to be my guest ! @MakeAWish.”
Since then, the bidding has climbed into the mid-five-figure range, thanks to a determined Pudgy Penguin holder named Moose, who’s been steadily waddling the price higher, hoping to huddle up with his fellow Pudgy Penguins in Skaneateles while also spreading some kindness.
“I believe in giving away some of the money you earned for charity,” Moose told the Gazette. “It’s the most selfless act you can do. Make a wish is a beautiful foundation and I pray for anyone there. God made me healthy and lucky so imagine not being thankful and giving back? Also Adam’s awesome we been in touch for a bit. It was a cool initiative and envisioned myself there by the lake for a second.”
As of tonight, the bid sits at $55,250, and while Moose says he may place another bid, he plans to support the cause no matter what.
“Regardless I think I’m outbidded & still thinking if I want to give it another shot,” he said. “ It is a lot of money for me. I’ll give a donation of my own after this if not.”
