From the MoMA to the metaverse! Contemporary visual artist Daniel Arsham’s signature “Fictional Archaeology” aesthetic made its way to the Otherside today as collectors minted their new Voyager bots that will evolve and change over time!
“The Arsham Voyager drop is live,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Otherside account this morning. “Access pass holders have 48 hours to enter Starfield gallery and secure a Voyager or their passes will be voided. Alabaster. Carbon. Verdigris. Your draw is revealed immediately. Remaining Voyagers roll to public sale May 8.”
As the Gazette previously reported, the Daniel Arsham x Otherside drop is historic. Unlike most NFT mints throughout history, which typically take place on sketchy Web2 websites, this experience is happening entirely inside the Otherside metaverse itself.

Participants were first able to collect raffle tickets as NFTs, with Yuga Labs holders and active Otherside players receiving better odds.
Now today, those who either won an allowlist spot or purchased one on the secondary can return to the Otherside and mint their new Voyager in an experience that would have sounded like a pipe dream back in 2021.

At the time of this article’s publication, 137 Arsham Voyagers have already been minted, including three of the rarest Verdigris bots!

In total, the Arsham Voyager collection features three different material inspired skins rooted in Arsham’s real world artistic practice: Alabaster Common, Carbon Rare, and Verdigris Ultra Rare Voyagers. Each design reflects Arsham’s years of work centered around “Fictional Archaeology,” an artistic style that makes present day and futuristic objects feel like relics from a forgotten past.
