The ApeCoin DAO's second election season is in full swing, and while many $Ape holders are familiar with every nominee's positions and their plans if elected, not everyone knows the candidates on a personal level!
In an effort to get to know the individuals running for $Ape Office, the Bored Ape Gazette recently sent out a nine-item questionnaire to each candidate to find out more about them in an effort to get to know the person behind the keyboard!
One of those candidates is The Banana Rat, who is running for a position on the ApeCoin DAO’s Special Council.

“Unveiling my Murakami DNA CloneX.”
2. When was the first time you got rug pulled?
“An early project I ventured into was 'The Shark Cove,' which unfortunately fizzled out prematurely. However, I'm extremely selective with my investments, so my direct involvement in 'rug pull' scenarios has been minimal.”
3. What was your best trade and worst crypto trade?
“Best Trade: Remember the RTFKT's Meta-Pigeon release? Those early days were wild, and yours truly got in on the action. Snagged seven of these digital birds half of them for just a buck each. Before I knew it, boom, each of them spun out an extra Meta-Pigeon OG. That's right, my crew doubled overnight. But the party didn't stop there. Each of my 14 Meta-Pigeons hatched three Clone X avatars - that’s 42 Clones - one of them even packed the rare Murakami DNA! Can you believe it? So here's the crazy part - at the peak, these virtual assets shot up to a staggering value of more than 960 ETH (about 2 million at peak value). Your boy Banana Rat did cash in some profits along the ride (wink), but still kept the original Meta-Pigeons and a ton of the Clone Xs. Bottom line, peeps? The Web 3.0 world is full of opportunities, just waiting for for you to find them. Keep your game flexible, stay sharp, and who knows? You might find the next Meta-Pigeon. Worst Tade: 1. PeyTenn, Cosmic Signature Edition. 2. There was a moment when I declined an offer of two BAYC apes in exchange for the Banana Rat. In retrospect, I still believe that was the right decision. The window to vote in the ApeCoin DAO's first round of Special Council and Governance Working Group Steward elections is currently open and $Ape holders have until June 21st to cast their coins for their preferred nominees.
After the first round of voting, the top five vote getting nominees will move on to the second round of voting and officially become candidates. The DAO will then conduct one more election from June 22nd to 28th, during which the community will elect two Special Council members to replace Yat Siu and Alexis Ohanian on the board.
