On Thursday, Longtime BAYC Member AJ Jaffy sold Bored Ape #8861 to Wallet 0xBD69fD5A56164270D80F07F7821ce226Df6665e0 for 246.94 ETH or $934,149 USD in a deal that was facilitated by the NFT brokerage firm, OTC Network.

Bored Ape #8861 is a six-trait gold fur primate with a BAYC flipped brim hat, a Black T, and a phoneme vuh mouth. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #8861 is the 186th most bored Bored Ape, according to Rarity Sniper.

At this time, we do not know much about the mystery buyer, but we do know that it was not MachiBigfBrother’s Digital Art Movement, according to OTC Network Founder, EB7.

“It always feels good seeing a gold move and being able to broker them,” EB7 told the Gazette. “No matter how apes are doing price wise right now it’s always nice being able to move the top of the line grails. It was not bought by Machi or the DAM, I don’t want to reveal the buyer as it’s not my call or my place though.”
