From gotta catch ’em all to trying to hit a grail, the stakes just got a whole lot higher on Robinhood Chain!
On Tuesday, StonkBrokers Special Project TheCardWall introduced an all new $5,000 Pokémon pack to its Gachapon style game, The Alley, giving collectors a chance to step away from the trading floor and take a swing at some seriously high end cardboard.
The new Alley pack, dubbed Celestial Pokémon, features some of the highest end Pokémon cards available, ranging in value from $2,500 USD all the way up to $280,000 USD, with an automatic 93% instant sellback option.
As the Gazette previously reported, TheCardWall first opened its all new Gachapon style claw game, dubbed The Alley, over the weekend, where anyone can win slabbed trading cards from brands like Pokémon, Major League Baseball, One Piece, and more through its collaboration with Clutch Markets and Collector’s Crypt. Today the platfrom as already seen over $200,000 USD in volume.
To play, users visit The Alley and connect their wallets. From there, they choose a mystery box based on a particular sport, game, or brand and take a shot at the claw machine. The claw grabs a box, the player opens it, and inside is a randomly selected graded trading card.
Once the card is revealed, players have a choice. They can hold onto the digital representation of the physical card as an NFT, redeem it and have the actual slab shipped to them, or sell it back to The Alley for 85% to 93% of the card’s market value and either take another swing at the claw or cash out.
Since adding Celestial Pokémon packs to The Alley this afternoon, at least six degens have already dropped the claw and pulled high-end cards ranging in value from roughly $2,600 to $8,100 USD. Take a look at the latest pulls here:
