From stanning for Beeple to meeting Figge, investor turned digital collectors Jehan Chu and Jeannie Vu are feeling grateful and golden this weekend after purchasing a gold fur Bored Ape for 96.5 ETH, or $194,000 USD!
After making waves around the swamp last night, Kenetic Capital founder Jehan Chu and Jeannie Vu took to the timeline and revealed that they were the mystery buyers behind Bored Ape #2089.

“@BoredApeYC means much more than we think; @jeannievu and I spend a lot of time in the digital art world ( @lacma , @rhizome ), and it's clear that culture is the ultimate moat of humanity,” Chu tweeted. “What @mfigge and his incredible team are building will be the Bifrost of the digital culture realms and it's a joy to be a small part of its history. Personally can't wait for the BAYC Asia tour - that's a whole lot of people about to be re-introduced to Apes. There are 46 golden apes, but this Angel Investor Ape tells my story. See you in the Clubhouse. *Grateful to @grailsotc for making this happen.”
Bored Ape #2089 is a six-trait gold fur primate featuring a finance vest, angel halo, and hypnotized eyes, making it one of the rarest apes around the swamp.
