You're not seeing ghosts of bull runs past! A solid gold-fur Bored Ape just sold for more than $200,000!
The "NFTs are dead" crowd just got quite the scare this spooky season after avid NFT collector and Bored Ape Yacht Club member Adam Weitsman purchased Bored Ape #3439 from fellow primate Nxn for 86.5 ETH, or $202,937 USD!
“Today I decided to sell my golden ape,” Nxn tweeted. “Glad it went to the best collection in our space. No less than @AdamWeitsman . Pleasure doing business as always sir. I applaud your conviction. Special thanks goes out to @GrailsOTC @0xQuit and @SignoreGondi.”
Bored Ape #3439 is a six-trait solid gold fur primate with zombie eyes, a fez hat and an Aquamarine background, making it one of the rarest Apes around the swamp.
Today’s golden purchase marks the second solid gold fur Bored Ape that Weitsman has acquired in the last month.
As the Gazette previously reported, Weitsman purchased MachiBigBrother's former solid gold fur Bored Ape #197 during ApeFest for an undisclosed amount.
“I’m so happy to acquire this golden grail, especially tonight during Apefest,” Weitsman tweeted. “My conviction in the club has never been stronger, and I’m super grateful to @machibigbrotherfor making this deal!! BAYC for life!!!!!”
With today’s purchase, Weitsman now holds eight Bored Apes, and each of them are PSA10s!
