HI-HO, HI-HO, IT'S OFF TO WORK WE GO: Uncle Mac's StonkPit Goes Live On Robinhood Chain And Clutch Markets' StonkBrokers And Mineboys Can Get Digging!

There's $DERP, Decentralized Entropy from Recycled Proofs, in those mines!

 

On Wednesday, Uncle Mac's StonkPit, a proof of work protocol where users can mine tokenized randomness dubbed $DERP for onchain games of chance, officially opened its mines, giving Clutch Markets' StonkBrokers and ApeChain Mineboys the chance to break out their pickaxes and get digging!

 

As the Gazette previously reported, $DERP is the first ever Special Project to launch through Clutch Markets' recently unveiled Stonk Launcher incubator platfrom.

“Derp is a new technology utilizing proof of work mining on Robinhood Chain to create entropy (VRNG),” Clutch Markets wrote in the project’s bio. “The more entropy users mine and requesters buy, the more the merchant pays for your DERP.”

 

The idea for $DERP came out of necessity because Robinhood Chain does not have a native verifiable random number generator. Without one, onchain games of chance, which rely on provable randomness to ensure fairness, wouldn't be possible.

To solve that problem, Uncle Mac built a platform dubbed StonkPit, where Clutch Markets' StonkBrokers and ApeChain Mineboys can mine $DERP, tokenized entropy that can eventually be sold to developers building on Robinhood Chain who need provable randomness for games of chance, including Clutch Markets' upcoming Stock Gacha game, Broker Box.

 

Tonight, StonkBrokers and Mineboys can enter the StonkPit by delegating the vault wallets that hold their NFTs to a hot wallet using Uncle Mac's website here: https://stonkpit.xyz/#/delegate

 

 

Note, Mineboys holders will also need to bridge their NFTs from ApeChain to Robinhood Chain using Uncle Mac's website: https://stonkpit.xyz/#/bridge

 

 

 

After delegating, users will need to make sure they have ETH on Robinhood Chain to mine with their StonkBrokers and $APE on Robinhood Chain to mine with their Mineboys in the wallet they delegated to.

That ETH and $APE will be used to pay the gas fees required to clock StonkBrokers and Mineboys in and out of the StonkPit as they dig for 

$DERP.

 

At the time of publication, Uncle Mac had temporarily paused the StonkPit to address a handful of UI bugs, but he expects it to be back online later tonight.
