HOOT HOOT: Moonbirds Released Three More Birbs From Its Upcoming Illustrated Moonbirds Art Upgrade Collection
Moonbirds holders were hooting and hollering yesterday after Yuga Labs released three more illustrated Moonbirds on the timeline as the company continues its work on the collection’s art upgrade, which includes intellectual property rights and metaverse-ready 3D avatars!
On Friday, the Moonbirds flock got another look at the project’s illustrated Moonbirds art upgrade, inspired by their pixelated predecessors.
"3 more peeks at the Moonbirds illustrated art before launch ,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Moonbirds account. “Here are Moonbirds #7604, #6070 and #8662”
Check out the three new before and afters below:
“Hell yeah, can't wait to release these birds into the wild,” Yuga Labs’ Moonbirds Creative Director Colin Hesterly tweeted after yesterday’s post.
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs acquired the Moonbirds collection, along with the entire PROOF Collective, in February 2024.
Since then, Yuga Labs has not only announced new art, IP rights, and 3D avatars for Moonbird holders, but also a digital world called Volaria and in real life events and upcoming products.
“But the Moonbirds Universe doesn’t stop at the screen,” the project teased. “IRL and physicals will bring the brand to life. Look out for dedicated events to bring Moonbirds together, including a satellite event next to Apefest 2024 in Lisbon this October. We’re also working on partnerships for Moonbirds physical collectibles. Take flight with us on the next adventure into the Moonbirds Universe.”
At this time, we do not know when Yuga Labs plans to make these illustrated Moonbirds available to holders.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Moonbirds collection and will let you know what Yuga Labs does next with the collection. Stay tuned for updates!
