IN THE BEAR DURING A BEAR: Pudgy Penguins Russia Proves Community Doesn't Hibernate, It Huddles Up!

Out in the Bear during a brutal bear market, a group of Pudgy Penguins gathered in Moscow this week, proving this community doesn't hibernate in the cold, it huddles up.
On Monday, Pudgy Penguins Russia took over the igloo and the timeline with photos from its most recent get together.
“Pudgy Penguins holders dinner in Moscow was one for the books. This community is a big family,” Pudgy Penguins Russia tweeted. “6 hours of conversations, mystery box opening, gifts, laughs and new friendships. Market may be bearish but this community is united more than ever. That’s what makes Pudgy special.”
In total, 15 fat flightless frens made it to Moscow for dinner this time, including the group's founder, Artem. A proud member of the huddle since entering NFTs in 2021, Artem and the rest of the community have been getting together for dinners, meetups, and events across Russia since 2023.
“It feels like a meeting with close friends,” Artem told the Gazette. “Because with some we are friends for at least a year or two, with some we travelled to crypto events worldwide like Token2049 and a lot of daily chats about crypto, NFTs, penguins, Abstract. These meetings are definitely very special for us and community is the best utility for JPEGs.”
Artem said he first got the idea to start Pudgy Penguins Russia after seeing so many New York City based Penguins hanging out together on the timeline.
“I think it’s started from NYC and holders dinners, Korean BBQs, so that’s totally inspired me to run local community and meet with holders. I saw how fun is that and we started to do the same in Moscow and doing monthly meetups. Not every time big dinner like this but anyways our irl club is active and steady.”
Since that initial urge to huddle up, Artem has hosted talks about $PENGU at Solana Russia Community meetups in St. Petersburg, gotten together with fellow holders to play padel, and literally brought Pax Pengu himself to the Motherland.
