INSANE: Take A Look At This Photo From The Mutant Hounds Project. Here's What We Know So Far
As Mutant Hound collar holders patiently wait to reveal their insane pups, the project shared a new image featuring several dogs and a notable Mega Mutant Ape.
On New Year’s Eve 2022, the Mutant Hounds tweeted a new image of “The Black Temple” featuring AsherahEth’s Mega Mutant Ape next to his matching Mega Mutant Hound.
“Months had passed and a name had grown into an army,” The Mutant Hounds tweeted. “Darkfang’s army. Returning to the Black Temple - what role will the Megas play?”
After the project’s cryptic tweet, the Mutant Hounds and Mutant Cartel community took to Twitter and commented on this detailed image.
“The level of detail…fvck me running," Bored Ape Yacht Club member The Joker tweeted. “2023 will be the Year of the MegaMutants.”
2023 is certainly going to be insane for the Mutant Hounds project. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the project is set to announce when the hound’s will be revealed next week!
“Deep in the cavernous depths of the Hideout, strange echoes and howls can be heard,” the project tweeted yesterday. “Today, we unveil the saga of the Mutant Hounds. A deep and engaging storyline, its first chapter culminates in the burning of Collars and the mint of the Hounds. Next week, we will communicate an exact date for the Hounds Reveal and the Collars Burn. In the meantime, strap in and enjoy the story. We will never do any surprise mints or airdrops. We will always give you advance warning across all of our official and personal accounts.”
While we do not know when Mutant Hounds collar holders will be able to redeem their collars for a dog, we do know that Mutant Hounds creator, Lior.Eth, recently told the Gazette that “There’s a few stories that need to be told before the Hounds come out.”
Storytelling and lore are important aspects of the Mutant Hounds project. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Lior and his team’s goal is to make the “Middle earth” of Web3.
“The Mutant Hounds are part of a saga of lore-driven NFTs that push the frontier of decentralized and participatory storytelling,” the project explained in a Twitter thread on December 6th. “Hounds will be part of an ever-expanding universe and will be relevant to your favorite worlds - Otherside being an important focus. Characters, factions, events, and the ability to both feature and guide the course of the narrative itself. We want to create the Middle Earth of web3 with you, and without borders.”
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the Mutant Hounds story and will let you know when these insane Hounds are released. Stay tuned for updates!
