KarmaPocket Is Running For Special Council. Here's Why He Deserves Your Vote:
Things are anything but boring around the swamp as ApeCoin DAO Contributors make their ways to the polls and vote for their preferred candidates in the community’s second ever election season.
After a month of Twitter Spaces, interviews, and politicking, it’s time for the $Ape community to cast their coins for Yat Siu and Alexis Ohanian’s replacements on the DAO’s Special Council.
As the Bored Ape Gazette has previously reported, the role of a Special Council member is not explicitly defined, but outgoing Special Council member, Siu, gave the community a good idea of the position and its responsibilities in a May 7th Twitter thread.
“The role of the Special Council is to act as stewards of @apecoin its purpose to serve the $Ape community with a mission to be the layer for community-led initiatives that drive culture forward into the #open#metaverse#web3, Siu tweeted. “The Special Council members role is that of a steward, we serve the community, we are not operators, there is no CEO, we are servants to the @apecoinDAO community.”
With Siu’s thread in mind, the Bored Ape Gazette reached out to each of the DAO’s five Special Council candidates and asked them why they’re the right $Ape for the job.

"Choose a real DAO expert to be in Special Council. Vote Karma!"
2. What does success and what does failure look like for the DAO?
"Success: On going building by the DAO contributors and positive engagement by the general DAO members in the same time.
Failure: the opposite of above."
3. What community or ecosystem in crypto do you really like (besides BAYC/ Yuga Labs) and what does that community have that ApeCoin is missing?
"ApeCoin needs stronger accountability to ensure true value being created."
4. Assuming you couldn’t vote for yourself, who would you vote for and why?
"They all have their own edges. Vote for myself or abstain."
5. What other DAO’s do you admire and why?
"For me, Ethereum is a DAO, I like what it has built."
6. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?
"No matter what the election outcomes are, all candidates are highly qualified and I believe we will continue to be builders for ApeCoin."
