Rumors surrounding Legends of the KodaMara are swirling this weekend after a brief website outage prompted Yuga Labs CEO Michael Figge to reveal that the company has recently regained control of the collection!

On Sunday, a brief outage on an old Legends of the Mara webpage became the catalyst for renewed interest in the oft forgotten Otherside creatures after OSWiki founder Frostyz noticed something was wrong and raised concerns on the timeline.
Within hours, Figge was in Frostyz's comment section, confirming that the page had been restored.
He also revealed that Yuga Labs had recently reclaimed control of the Legends of the Mara contracts from gaming turnedAI company Faraway, which acquired the IP from Yuga Labs in April 2024. Figge added that the team will continue to keep a close eye on the collection and its future.
“as of a few weeks ago the LOTM contracts are now under yuga’s control here’s the tx showing faraway admin being revoked,” he tweeted. “Thanks to yuga's devops team who were able to jump in this morning to take over the domain domain register could take 48+ hours on backend to transfer then DNS will take a sec to propogate will check back midweek you can tell we’ve been keeping our eye on these assets (ex: their gucci trails are respected in otherside) wanted to roll out with proper marketing when the time comes have a good sunday everyone.”
Figge's comments quickly turned into speculation across the Otherside sending the Legends of the Mara floor price soaring nearly 400% to .0143 Eth, or roughly $26.
