From the Big Apple to a rooftop somewhere in Russia, Pudgy Penguins New York City Chapter founder Edward is going ape for the igloo after unveiling a massive mural depicting his Viking Penguin as King Kong!

Earlier this week, Edward took to the timeline to share a new mural he commissioned from fellow Penguin and graffiti artist BasedPavil, depicting his Viking Penguin hanging from the Empire State Building like the giant gorilla from the classic 1933 film.
“Proliferate. Support. Engage. Activate,” Edward tweeted. “Everyone can do this in their own way for the projects, leaders and people they love. I want to give a big thank you to the graffiti legend @basedPavel for turning my Pudgy into a piece of street art for everyone who sees it to enjoy. Artists in this space never get the credit they deserve and I needed to showcase his talents off while promoting the best Pudgy Viking in the entire collection.”
For Pavil, creating the piece for Edward meant a lot because it embodies everything he loves about the NFT space: community, support, and artwork that brings people together.
“We all see art in different ways and from different angles. So happy to be in this moment and give people emotions. One more art for OG holder @MrEdwardNYC is here. Thank you for your trust, my friend! Means a lot. this is not AI.”
Pavil has been painting Pudgys and other NFT characters across Russia for quite some time now, bringing WAGMI vibes to walls one masterpiece at a time.
As the Gazette previously reported, Pavil painted a mural featuring Adam Weitsman's Ape, Penguin, and Punk on a wall somewhere in southern Russia back in March to celebrate everything he has done for the NFT space.
