The future is clear  and animated  for ApeChain’s NightGlyders. The project’s founder, Pilot, teased that every holder will soon be getting a cartoon version of their pixelated Sugar Glyders, taking the collection to new IP heights!

Two months after 3,333 NightGlyders flew from their Old Forest and into the ApeChain ecosystem, Pilot announced that the pixelated critters will soon be spreading their wings and expanding the project’s IP with a new art style that’s easier to create with, opening up new opportunities for the collection going forward.

The reimagined NightGlyders art is being created by longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member and artist, IDrawAnimation, and was inspired by the Moonbirds, who each received animated versions of their birds back in June 2024. Once available, NightGlyder holders will have access to both the pixelated and animated versions of their NFTs.

“It feels great giving back something to the holders, a fresh style, giving them the option to choose between there preferred style,” Pilot told the paper. “At the end of the day, this is an IP project since day 1 and will always be. this new art is only the beginning, it opens the door for a lot of other creations such as 3D, as now we have the 2Ds and its way easier to transition from illustrated to 3D than from pixels to 3D. This says that NightGlyders are here to stay & glyde.”

Take a look at the expanded art below:

At this time, we do not know exactly when these animated NightGlyders will take flight, but Pilot told the Gazette that he’s working with Blever to make it happen as soon as next week.

The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the NightGlyders and will let you know when everyone can access the animated versions of their NFTs. Stay tuned for updates!
