LONELY NO MORE: This Notable Bored Ape Yacht Club Collector Purchased Their Ape's Identical Twin
After a year of trying this “lonely” Bored Ape Yacht Club member finally purchased their ape’s bored twin.
BAYC member Lonelyontop is lonely no more after they purchased Bored Ape #9607 yesterday for 125 Eth or $156,000 USD.
Bored Ape #9607 is a four-trait brown fur primate with a bored unshaven mouth, bored eyes and an aquamarine background. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #9607 is the 1014th most rare primate, according to Rarity Tools.
After their purchase, Lonelyontop took to Twitter and explained that a tweet about “twin” apes last year by FranklinisBored started their journey to acquire Bored Ape #9607.
“Almost an entire year ago I saw @franklinisbored’s tweet and noticed that there was an identical twin ape with matching traits and a different background,” Loneyontop tweeted. “I immediately started to try to negotiate with @crowdturtle to acquire it, never was liquid enough, and @apetowwn sniped it. After struggling to become liquid at the right time, today was finally the day I was meant to have it!”
Bored Ape #9607 is a “identical twin” to Lonelyontop’s profile photo primate, Bored Ape #4296.
After yesterday’s purchase, Lonleyontop now owns three four-trait apes that each have bored eyes and bored unshaven mouthes.
“I have 3/8 bored/unshaven bored 4 trait apes, which makes set of triplets (once again)and 4/31 @_perfectlybored 4t apes and 1/55 sets of identical twins with matching traits,” they said.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow Lonelyontop and will let you know what they do next!
