MAKING HIS OWN LUCK: BAYC Member Jeremy Buys The First Daniel Arsham x Otherside Allowlist Spot Off OpenSea!

Going into Monday’s Daniel Arsham X Otherside raffle, longtime Bored Ape Yacht Club member Jeremy was feeling confident with 143 tickets in hand.

But luck wasn’t an Arsham for him.

“Thought I had good odds,” he told the paper. “Didn’t work out though.”

After years in NFTs, Jeremy has missed his fair share of mints and allowlists, but this one hit different. The Arsham Voyager drop marks a first of its kind minting experience inside Otherside in collaboration with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham.

“I think this will be an iconic drop for a few reasons,” Jeremy said. “1) Fine art meets web3, 2) this is the first mint happening in Otherside so it will be highly sought after, and 3) there are only 300 ever! I had to have one.”

 

Like we said, Jeremy’s been around the swamp for a while, so when he missed the allowlist, he knew what he had to do.

 

“I was super bummed when I didn’t win a pass, “he said. “So I immediately went on openSea and placed an offer.”

 

 He aped in, purchasing the first ever allowlist spot off the secondary market for 8,000 $Ape or $1,285 USD!

 

 

Just hours later, that move is already paying off. Allowlist spots are now trading at a floor of 16,500 $Ape, or roughly $2,665 USD.

As the Gazette previously reported, all Arsham x Otherside Voyager allowlist winners will be invited back into Otherside on May 6 to mint their Voyager for $200 worth of $Ape.
