The Meebits are moving and grooving this evening after Yuga Labs teased the next phase of the voxel community’s roadmap.
“Pics or it didn’t happen,” Yuga Labs tweeted from its Meebits account this evening. “MB1.2 coming soon. FYI - MB1.2 doesn’t involve a snapshot for an airdrop or claim... but it's a big MOOD.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs first teased upcoming utility for the voxel collection on July 28, 2022.
So what are we building? While we can’t get into specifics (we like surprises),” Yuga Labs tweeted at the time. “Our vision for Meebits centers around embracing the currents already core to the community – play, DIY experimentation, tech minimalism, and interoperability – and dialing them way up.”
Since Yuga Labs’ roadmap tease, the company has “Turned On” the Meebits collection with a revamped website, dubbed MB1, and a free poster claim for holders.
“MB1 represents a beginning; the first chapter of this story,” Meebits Brand Lead DannyGreene.Eth wrote in blog post on November 22nd, 2022. “As the Meebits go adventuring, this evolving site will be your access to every experience along the way. There will be nine releases to MB1, and this new site will be a launchpad for each new experience, activation, or opportunity. For now, come play with one of your Meebits (or one of ours) and make them dance, float, or just “Meeb out” to some AI music powered by wrapsound’s digital boombox. Feels good to stretch those arms… and especially those legs.”
