$ME IN THE AUTUMN AIR: Magic Eden Announces That Its Doing A Test Token Claim Next Month Before Its $ME Launch!

Claim magic is in the autumn air as Magic Eden announced it will be brewing a test token next month, paving the way for the marketplace’s highly anticipated $ME token to launch at a later date!

Uptober will be anything but boring this year, as Magic Eden revealed it will be launching a test token to familiarize users with its mechanics before the actual $ME token launch.

“$ME will be launched through a 1st-of-its-kind mobile token claim inside @MagicEdenWallet, Magic Eden tweeted from its Magic Eden Foundation account today. “You’ll be able to stay organized and link all your existing browser, mobile, and hardware wallets (e.g., Ledger, Xverse, Solflare, Metamask, etc) across chains without using your seed phrases. This is going to make the $ME claim super seamless and clean because you’ll be able to aggregate all your historical wallets and see your full claim in 1 place. Soon in October, a test token is going to be launched inside Magic Eden Wallet. It’s going to simulate the process for the $ME claim. This way, everyone will be comfortable with the process and ready for the big day. This token is a simple test token. It will have no utility or value whatsoever and will be exactly as advertised, so please don’t lose your minds. After the test token will be tokenomics and the $ME TGE!”

After the announcement, Magic Eden CEO and Co-Founder Jack Lu took to the timeline to explain the importance of the test token before the actual $ME magic happens!

“The mobile claim for $ME is going to be the first time a major dApp is going to let so many cross chain users claim a single token,” Lu wrote. “Practice is key to make sure the product is ready. The community will also benefit from some practice because our token claim product will let you link all your mobile, hardware, and extension wallets for the claim. At this time, we don’t know when Magic Eden’s test token or $ME will officially drop, but Magic Eden has been working on its cross-chain rewards program all year, distributing Diamond rewards to traders on its platform and to Ethereum users through a retroactive claim.

 These Diamonds serve as reward points in Magic Eden’s expansive cross-chain reward program, covering the Bitcoin, Solana, Polygon, Base, and Ethereum ecosystems.
