From creating a 100,000 $Ape voting delegation at the ApeCoin DAO to stepping onto the stage at ApeFest 2023 and beatboxing in front of the entire Bored Ape Yacht Club, Buuvei has been going $Ape around the Yugaverse. Now, he's looking to leverage his 10 years of strategic planning and business development experience to refocus the DAO around various key performance indicators and help guide the community into the metaverse as an ApeCoin DAO Special Council member!
The winter election season of 2023 is underway at the ApeCoin DAO, with 27 contributors officially running to replace BoredApeG, Gerry, and VeraTheApe on the DAO's Special Council in 2024.
Among the candidates vying for a position on the ApeCoin DAO's Special Council is Buuvei.
“I do what I say I will do,” Buuvei wrote on his candidate page. “You have met me in real life and online, I am the same passionate person. Together we will be strong. I value each one you, and your voices deserve to be heard. Just like the courage I had to go on stage at APEFEST in front of thousands, I will have the courage to speak up for each one of you.”

In a sentence or two what is your candidacy all about?
“Making sure smaller voices get heard.”
Why did you decide to ape into the Special Council race?
“APEFEST. So many friends come up to me and said, please run and be our voice (you guys know who you are, thank you). After going on stage in front of 2-3 thousand people, I was even more confident. Also, at the Elite Apes event, I ran into CryptoPunk Warren(himself), and he gave me one of the best advice which ignited me to run.”
What would you like to accomplish during your term?
“Strategic planning. What this means is, we will have everything set from the Vision to Strategies to get there, to KPIs and Action plans to achieve them, on paper. When this is set, members of the DAO have an objective view of the roles. And the benefit of setting up this infrastructure is when new members get elected, they have clear objectives.”
Where would you like to see the DAO a year from now?
“With a clear path or direction, and strategic planning solves that with defined and measurable goals. This is mainly due to rotating roles and duration, because each new person may start an initiative. Main advantage of strategic planning is that it is a system, once the foundation is set, new elected members can use it to funnel their initiatives.”
What are your thoughts and views on an Apechain?
“How to integrate $Ape as the gas fee is important due to usage and utility.”
What’s your favorite book and movie?
Lately Meditations (Stoic), and Gladiator (which is discussed in Meditations)
Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?
“I will be committing full time for this role.”

The window to vote in the ApeCoin DAO's first round of Special Council voting opens on December 7th, and $Ape holders will have until December 13th to cast their coins in support their preferred nominees. After the first round of voting, the top five nominees with the most votes will proceed to the second round of voting and officially become ApeCoin DAO Special Council candidates. The DAO will then conduct one more election from December 14th through December 20th. During this second vote, the community will officially elect its three new Special Council Members!
