MEET THE CANDIDATE: NFTSasha Is Running For A Spot On The DAO's Discourse Facilitator Team

ApeCoin DAO Contributor and Discourse Facilitator nominee, Sasha, who describes themself as a Degen writer, believes they are the right choice for the ApeCoin DAO's Discourse Facilitator team.

Election 2023 is heating up around the swamp as 14 ApeCoin DAO contributors threw their hats in the ring and announced their candidacies for ApeCoin DAO's Discourse Facilitator team earlier this month.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the DAO approved of the creation of a three-person, community led, Discourse moderation team last month when it passed Ape Improvement Proposal-240.

This team will be responsible for “overseeing the proposal process, moderating discussions, enforcing rules, and promoting positive community engagement based on DAO-approved guidelines,” according to the DAO. Each Discourse team member will serve a three-month term and will earn $8,000 USD per month.

One of the candidates running for a spot on the Discourse moderation team is ApeCoin DAO Contributor Sasha.

"I will excel at creating Draft Analysis Reports due to 1) my diverse background (software engineer, then founder of an esports team, then venture partner at a business accelerator, and finally degen/trader) and 2) having already done a nearly identical job at the Stacks business accelerator during summer ’21, Sasha wrote on their ApeCoin Candidate Discourse page. “We had hundreds of applicants and only 25 spots. Not only did we select founders/ideas of whom almost all succeeded in raising vc rounds, I spent months mentoring and helping them grow. Accelerator itself partnered with OKCoin for 165M fund after this success. I’m thorough, constructively critical, and I want to see DAO proposals succeed just as much as I want to make sure we research all potential risks for the token holders to make informed voting decision. I’ve lived in 4 countries for at least 6 months each in Asia, US, and Europe, which I hope helps me understand local needs on a more nuanced level. Thank you so much if you vote for me!"

1.In a sentence or two why should the $Ape community vote for you?

“My responses on the Forums hopefully show how thorough and active I am. This is the thoroughness and work ethic I will bring to the DAO as Discourse Facilitator.”

2.What made you want to run for Discourse Facilitator team?

"I am a web3 and ApeCoin maxi and I already spend hours on the forums each day... this felt like the natural next step. Plus the pay allows me to write in my spare time."

3. What sets you apart from the other nominees?

“I have IRL experience in the areas that most proposals deal with: software, gaming, and entrepreneurship. I'm good at being objective and I am chronically online b/c I'm very well-adjusted and not at all lonely.”

4.What do you hope to accomplish during your term?

“Provide the best Draft Analysis Reports for the Special Council, write down everything we know about DAO structure and processes for full transparency, and restructure the forums to have all the information any member may need to quickly get up to speed with the DAO.”

5. How did you get into Web3 and NFTs?

“As I was selecting startups applying for Stacks Accelerator in April '21, some of them mentioned NFTs. I started to dig in and 4 months later quit the accelerator to focus on NFTs/web3 full-time.”

6. Do you have anything else you’d like to add or say?

“I bring a balanced perspective as I have spent time in almost every blue chip community and now almost a year in South-East Asia, in addition to being born in Europe and living for 20 years in the US. A job with ApeCoin DAO means a lot to me and I would be honored and grateful to have your vote, won't let you down! <3”
