This Bored Ape Yacht Club member has spent the last decade working to make the metaverse a reality as a builder and a professional gamer. Now, TFG wants to build upon the experiences he has had and become one of the ApeCoin DAO’s first Metaverse Working Group Stewards and help push the DAO into the digital world!
The winter election season of 2023 is underway at the ApeCoin DAO, with 12 contributors running to be the community’s first two Metaverse working Group Stewards.
Among the candidates vying for this position is TFG
“My motivation for pursuing this role is deeply rooted in my passion for both the gaming and web3 industries,” TFG wrote on his candidate page. “With my entire professional career and childhood immersed in the gaming world, I am uniquely equipped to excel in this position and contribute to elevating the ApeCoin DAO’s metaverse and gaming initiatives. A key aspiration of mine is to bridge the worlds of web3 and gaming. I aim to challenge and transform the prevailing skepticism among traditional gamers about web3 and blockchain technologies, shifting the perception from negative to positive. I am committed to leading this change. Joining the ApeCoin DAO as a steward in the metaverse working group represents a significant step towards realizing this vision, uniting my twin passions and altering the narrative for the better.

1.Why are You Running for This Position?
“I am running for this position to utilize my extensive experience in gaming, esports, content creation, gamified metaverse, and web3 to bridge the gap between web2 and web3 gaming, contributing to the growth and innovation of the ApeCoin DAO.”
2. What is the Metaverse? How Do You Define It?
“The metaverse is a collective virtual shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality, augmented reality, video games, and the internet. I define it as an evolving digital ecosystem where people can interact, work, play, and transact in immersive environments.”
3. What is the Purpose of a Metaverse Working Group?
“The purpose of a Metaverse Working Group is to guide and oversee the development and integration of metaverse and gaming initiatives. It focuses on strategizing, executing, and managing projects that enhance the presence and effectiveness of the organization within the metaverse.”
4. What Would You Like to Accomplish in This Role?
“In this role, I aim to establish strategic partnerships, launch innovative metaverse experiences, develop a profitable esports initiative, and create an engaging community-driven content creator program, all endeavors I’ve executed at a high level before."
5. Why Are You the Right Person for the Job?
“My extensive experience in leading gaming organizations, coupled with my expertise in content creation and web3 consulting, makes me well-suited for this role. I have a proven track record of building communities, driving strategic growth, and navigating the evolving landscape of digital interaction.”
6. What Kind of Budget Do You Plan to Ask the Community For?
“I plan to propose a reasonable budget that will make a difference for the DAO. This will include funding for technology development, partnerships, events, marketing, and more, with the goal of every penny spent, bringing another penny back. The key to getting it passed is clear communication of the value and return on investment these initiatives will bring to the ApeCoin community.”
7. What Does Success Look Like for This Working Group?
“Success for this Working Group means establishing ApeCoin DAO as a leader in metaverse and gaming innovation, with a vibrant community and strong partnerships. A year from now, I envision us having launched successful metaverse projects, expanded our user base, and created a sustainable model for ongoing innovation and growth.”
8. Do You Have Anything Else You’d Like to Add or Say?
“I'd like to emphasize my commitment to transparency and collaboration. My approach will involve regular community updates and open forums for feedback, ensuring that our journey in the metaverse is a shared and inclusive venture for all members of the ApeCoin DAO.”

The window to vote in the first round of the ApeCoin DAO’s Metaverse Working Group election is currently open and $Apes have until December 6th to cast their coins in support their preferred nominees. After this first round of voting, the top five nominees with the most votes will proceed to the second round of voting and officially become ApeCoin DAO Metaverse Working Group candidates.
The DAO will then conduct one more election from December 7th through December 13th. During this second vote, the community will officially elect its first two Metaverse Working Group Stewards!
