MIC CHECK METAVERSE: Yuga Labs Adds Four New Ways To Communicate With Frens On Otherside!

Now that’s what I’m talking about! Socializing around the swamp and beyond just got a serious update!

On Friday, Yuga Labs’ Project Manager Pm0721 took to the timeline with an article titled “Otherside Social Overhaul,” where he announced that the metaverse now features four different ways to communicate with frens old and new.

With this update, Voyagers can now use Global Chat to talk with everyone across Otherside, World Chat to communicate with others in a specific world, Direct Messages to privately chat with fellow Voyagers, and Party to squad up with their frens!

Speaking of frens, Voyagers can now create a friends list on Otherside so they can see when their besties are online, as well as a block list to stay away from bad actors.

“Right now, we're in the process of battle-testing these features with the community,” Pm0721 wrote.  “If you have any feature suggestions, find any bugs, or want to provide feedback, use the bug icon located in the upper right of your Profile screen.”

Since Otherside officially opened last summer, social tools and making it easier for Voyagers to pop in and stay awhile around the swamp have been a top priority for Yuga Labs.

 

The metaverse first launched with the company’s Bubble tech, its version of Twitter Spaces, which invited anyone and everyone to blow up a Bubble, hang out, and chat high in the sky above the metaverse.
