Moonpay, a crypto payment company that has onboarded several celebrates into the BAYC, purchased Bored Ape #8353 for 200 Eth or $560,000 USD Friday afternoon.
Bored Ape #8353 is a six-trait brown fur ape with robot eyes and a black BAYC hat. Based on these traits, Bored Ape #8353 is the 6514th most rare ape, according to Rarity Tools.
“This is a dope one for a celebrity NGL,” Vivek ravishanker.eth tweeted following the sale.
While it is unclear who Bored Ape #8353 is for, many BAYC members believe that the robot eye primate could be for Ice Cube, Dr Dre or Justin Timberlake.
