MORE CHADS IN: Abstract Extends Discord Sign-Up Deadline Before Rumored Airdrop—And Warns, No Monkey Business!

The elite Chads over at Abstract have extended the registration window for Apes and the broader Web3 community to link their wallets and Discords ahead of the project’s rumored token claim or airdrop. The team has also cautioned everyone in the crypto space to register only once!

Things were anything but boring this weekend as Apes, Mutants, Bodoggos, Pudgys, Sappy Seals, and more aped into Abstract’s Discord to secure their “Elite Chad” role before the deadline to participate in the anticipated token claim or airdrop.

This surge of activity overwhelmed Discord’s Vulcan bot, leaving many flustered frens in the swamp and beyond, all eager to join Abstract and be part of the project. To accommodate the demand, the Abstract and Pudgy Penguin teams extended the deadline by another day, giving everyone until Monday, December 9th, at around 6 P.M. EST to verify their NFTs, claim their Elite Chad role, and complete the Elite Chad form.

“The overwhelming support shown in the last few days, people from various NFT communities reactivated for the resurgence of what we all love, made Abstract one of the fastest growing cryptonative communities in existence,” Abstract’s AbsChud wrote. “This is just a preview of what's to come. That being said: Clearly the Discord was unprepared for so many people joining. A good problem to have... The Pudgy Penguins thus generously offered a remedy. Remember, being an Elite Chad or Giga Chad is something applied to your person - not to your wallet. We are growing a real community of Chads interested in crypto products built for the people. If this is you, welcome aboard.”

As part of the deadline extension, the Abstract team also reminded users not to try and game the system, emphasizing that doing so offers no additional benefits and that it will get you banned!

“You ONLY NEED ONE of the Elite Chad roles,” Abstract’s Hedge wrote. “If you get Elite Chad, Elite Chad Rising, ERC Native, ERC Chad, or Crypto Native role you're good. You don't need to do anything more but fill out the form. GETTING ADDITIONAL PARTNER ROLES (like doodles /plooshies /etc) DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR PARTICIPATION OR BENEFITS. YOU DO NOT NEED TO VERIFY YOUR ENTIRE NFT COLLECTION, PLEASE STOP. YOU ARE OVERLOADING THE SYSTEM FOR NO BENEFIT…. Blockchain transactions are public and traceable. Anyone can follow the transaction that sent a single partner NFT from your main vault wallet to this new wallet that a Discord account created 15m ago. We can flag the main user who did that. It's all on the web open for anyone to see. Users caught trying to scam the system will have their main wallet, all accounts, social accounts shared with every single ecosystem partner. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Apes and other NFT holders must first verify their NFTs through Vulcan inside the Abstract Discord. Then, they need to check out the "community-news" channel and complete the form that Hedge shared on December 6th.

For those unfamiliar, Abstract is a layer-2 blockchain focused on addressing consumer crypto issues, created in collaboration with Pudgy Penguins owner Luca Netz.
