"NFTS BACK FROM THE DEAD": Beeple And Hailey Welch Gave The NFT Market A Little Hawk Tuah Last Night!

Halloween may be over, but the ghost of bull runs past continues to loom over the broader crypto market, and with a little “Hawk Tuah,” those cursed JPEGs might just rise from the grave to haunt disbelievers yet again!

On Friday, crypto artist Beeple shared his most recent Everyday piece titled “NFTS BACK FROM THE DEAD” featured a zombie CryptoPunk in the cold, dead, Hawk Tuah 2024-tattooed hand of Hailey Welch, rising from the pit of hell, AKA the bear market.

 

"Make NFTs great again @beeple,” Welch tweeted following Beeple’s post.

 

After the post, the NFT world went wild congratulating Welch on the feature and speculating on whether NFTs could ever come back to life as they did in 2021 and 2022.

 

“BTC is a store of value NFT is a store of culture,” BAYC member Harry Liu tweeted.

 

While only time will tell if NFTs will regain their former glory, high-end JPEGs like the one in Beeple’s post continue to sell for life-changing sums.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, the Punk in Beeple’s post, CryptoPunk #9368, was purchased by Wallet 0x9045dEB6c61B6bC687A070baBa941Fcf34e5759D for 550 ETH (approximately $1,265,000 USD) back on September 9, 2024.

This anonymous buyer has been bullish on NFTs in both bear and bull markets and has assembled a top-tier collection featuring this zombie CryptoPunk, an Ape CryptoPunk, a Fidenza, three Squiggles, and a Ringer.
