NONFUNGIBLE NIGHTMARE: The Simpsons' NFT Filled Treehouse Of Horror Is A Must Watch For Collectors This Halloween!

Forget the charts! This Halloween, the scariest thing an NFT collector can do is watch The Simpsons!

Spooky season is upon us, and no one is safe, not even NFTs!

A few years back, America's favorite yellow family satirized our beloved J-Pegs in their annual Halloween special, Treehouse of Horror XXXIV, poking fun at tokenization, NFT burns, Bored Apes, and more!

 

The episode opens with Bart accidentally getting turned into an NFT, forcing his mom, Marge, to go onchain to save him!

 

Once onchain, the story becomes a crypto inspired parody of the movie Snowpiercer, where high value NFTs live a life of luxury at the front of a train while rugs and worthless J-Pegs are stuck in the back!

 

 

From there, Marge fights her way through the NFT trenches, battling various collectibles and  increasing her value with each NFT she destroys as she makes her way toward her son!

 

Along the way, viewers get a glimpse of everything from CryptoKitties to Doodles before coming face to face with some familiar looking "Jaded Apes" at the front of the train!

 

 

For collectors looking to revisit this nonfungible nightmare, the episode is available on Disney+. It's the fifth episode of Season 35, titled Treehouse of Horror XXXIV!
