Not today, Bozos!
ApeChain has been a carnival all week, but it’s not a circus! On Friday, the ApeCoin intern took to the timeline and announced that some clowns may have tried to rig the chain’s Drink Drank Dunk contest.

“We identified potential botting in DDD, resulting in both leaderboards closing at 2 AM ET,” ApeCoin tweeted. “Any throws after that time will not count toward leaderboard results. We will review before confirming winners. Any bad actors will be banned from this game and from future ones.”
Tonight, we do not know who may have tried to rig Drink Drank Dunk, but we do know that the team is taking this seriously and it’s not a laughing matter.
“Botting a community game puts you on the asshat naughty list, not the haha naughty list,” ApeCo CEO Cameron Kates tweeted. “Don’t be a jerk and ruin it for everyone.”
As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Drink Drank Dunk was the latest onchain NFT initiative created by ApeCoin’s KingPickle and Ryan Smith.
In the game, players selected one of 12 Key Opinion Leaders from around the swamp to try and dunk, with difficulties ranging from easy to hard.
