All Abored! After OpenSea and the Web3 world weathered a nearly two-year-long bear market storm, the popular marketplace appears to have the winds of airdrops at its back, as it readies to launch its very own token!

On Friday, a new Twitter account, Opensea Foundation, appeared on the horizon, accompanied by a cryptic tweet that all but confirms treasure — AKA an airdrop!

 

“Ocean enters the chat,” Opensea Foundation along with a wave emoji.

 

 

The tweet has already been seen over 1.7 million times, and nearly every major account in the Web3 world — from OpenSea itself to MoonPay and even MetaMask — has engaged with it.

At this time, details about the airdrop are still a mystery, but many believe there’s treasure ahead, with some speculating that this airdrop could signal that NFTs are making a big comeback!

Again, while nothing about the airdrop is confirmed, that hasn’t stopped Apes and Web3 degens from doing some "moon math" on their potential allocations.
